Meet Me
I've been a graphic designer for over a decade now! After my second child was born I wanted to find a way to do design at a slower pace. For some crazy reason I decided to launch in to this only a few short months after we welcomed her to this world. I think I was feeling creatively shortchanged (although there is an art to changing diapers I suppose).
I created a gift for my mother, who is a teacher, and found I really enjoy creating stationery. I thought the teacher world could use an infusion of design, and I've had a lot of fun doing it.
Likely as a result of never being able to find pencils with my name (Amie), I also have a strong affection for personalized things. So, I love to focus on making custom designs. My mind is always coming up with new ideas, if only it could come up with extra time.
When I'm not designing, I'm doing things like playing with my kids, sewing, gardening, making jam while listening to my favorite band, Muse, and geeking out to science fiction (or my new love – graphic novels!). I like being a part of the handmade community because I love the personal connections between shopper and shop owner. Way to go handmade!
